Often after something doesn’t turn out the way we wanted, we hear people say, “So what did you learn?” Or “How will you do it differently next time?”
This is a great question to ask oneself.
And, sometimes the answer is that there’s nothing to learn.
Sometimes we do everything right, handle a situation authentically and with our highest intention and personal best effort, but because of outside forces, sometimes some situations still fall apart.
Sometimes what there is to learn…is that there’s nothing to learn.
To my fellow perfectionists, especially: Be careful to not adjust yourself right out of yourself. Not everything that goes wrong does so because of you.
